The NSW Government listing for Chichester State Forest says dogs on leads are permitted. Forestry Corporation says dogs are welcome in all NSW state forests but must be kept under your control at all times, and you should pick up after them. Many state forests border national parks or conservation areas where dogs are banned, so stay inside the state forest boundary. Barrington Tops National Park borders the forest and bans dogs. Check signage on arrival.
